Sense of Community provides limited emergency medical assistance to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship and an urgent healthcare need.
We do not request detailed diagnoses, full medical records, Social Security numbers, or government identification numbers. Only basic information needed to review your request is required.

How It Works
Submit a Request
Applicants submit a short assistance request explaining what assistance is needed, the amount requested, and the healthcare provider involved.
Review
Requests are reviewed individually based on urgency, available program funding, and basic supporting documentation.
Direct Payment
Whenever practical, approved assistance is paid directly to the hospital, clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, or healthcare provider rather than as unrestricted cash.
