Sense of Community is a U.S.-based organization delivering consistent, community-driven support through essentials, education, and outreach — focused on real needs and lasting impact.
Our work focuses on providing consistent, meaningful support to communities both in Haiti and here at home in Maryland. Through education, outreach, youth development, and community programs, we address immediate needs while investing in long-term opportunities that strengthen lives and build lasting impact.

Mission
Local Families.
Real Impact.
We are committed to establishing a monthly distribution program providing food, hygiene products, and essential medicines to families in need.
What began as a one-time effort is now evolving into a consistent support system, ensuring that vulnerable households receive reliable assistance every month.
Our goal is simple: To create stability where uncertainty exists — and to ensure no family is left without basic necessities.
What We Provide Each Month
Food Supplies
Nutritious staple items for families.
Hygiene Products
Essential items for health and dignity.
Essential Medicines
Basic medicines to support good health.
New Location
We are excited to announce the expansion of our Monthly Essentials Program to Cap-Haitien — supporting more families, strengthening communities, and bringing hope to even more homes.
Haiti
We provide limited financial assistance to individuals and families facing urgent medical needs when immediate costs create a barrier to receiving care.
Support may help with hospital or clinic fees, essential medications, diagnostic testing, or other urgent medical expenses.
